I have MySQL ver 3.27 (Client/Server), and a heavily modified OSCommerce running on a linux-hosted server.
I MUST have examples of previous work on OSCommerce with details of what modifications you carried out.
All "Let's start this" messages will be ignored.
I think this boils down to a series of counters, and a separate database table... should hopefully be quite simple to do.
We sometimes overstock on specific products (e.g. all ending in products_model 'R'), and we will need to lower prices incrementally to make customers buy the items.
There will be some 'normal' price they are sold at, and a minimum limit we will want to sell them for at the end of a reduction period.
I need a script which allows for a products_model regex to be matched, which finds all products with a products_quantity above a certain number. We will want to then be able to set the lowest prices that each of these products will reduce to.
On a daily basis, the price of all of these items will be reduced by say, [url removed, login to view] until it reaches the minimum prices each has been set.
There will be two conditions which will reset the price back to 'normal':
1) After the price reaches the minimum price set - the day after, it will revert back to the normal price.
2) If the quantity of items drops below a set minimum, then the iteration after, this will cause it to revert back to the normal price also.
productA is 3.25, there are 25 of these (products model: prAR)
productB is 2.35, there are 8 of these (pm: prBR)
productC is 5.00, there are 7 of these (pm: prCR)
I match all products with products_model pr%R.
I set minimum prices for: productA at 2.50, min quantity = 20, productB at 1.00 - min quantity at 2, productC at 4.80 - min quantity at 0
After 1 day, productA is 3.15, B is 2.25, C is 4.90.
Customer comes along and buys 6 of A
Another customer comes and buys 3 of A
On the second day, productA is put back up to normal price (3.25) because the quantity is now below the min. level. ProductB is now 2.15, productC is 4.80. No one buys anything.
On the third day, productB is 2.05, productC is set back to normal price (5.00)
I'll need a page where I can modify / add to the list of reduced prices based on products_model / quantity / price.
This will allow me to reset products to normal price, change current price / quantity of currently reducing items, add to the list of reducing items.
I will want a way to include code on the home page which lists the names, quantities and current prices of all reducing products.
