We have a site running on a dedicated server with cpanel. Site occasionally causes error to hang the whole server. When we check the error logs/ server usage, it shows one particular process as taking as much as 350% of CPU resources and the error details shows that max limit has reached. Screenshot of the same can be seen here: [login to view URL]
We are using WP total cache (full cache) and Cloudflare on top of that. We have around 400-500 users on our site at mostly all the time. Through cache, we save DB connections - as its mostly the Views of those pages.
However, on the home page, we have a function wherein users can actually post into WP through this page: ([login to view URL]).
I need help sorting out this issue. The codes are pretty optimized so it could be due to server settings or because we have left something in code which is causing this error.
My estimate is that 10,000 files are not open. however, the CPU maxes out even before reaching that limit. but I am not sure so need an expert who knows exactly what he is doing.
Thanks in advance.
