Need help making a custom search form in Wordpress work

This custom search form worked up until a week ago, and the freelancer that created it is unavailable. Need someone with good knowledge of wp to have a look and see what is wrong with the search form, in the theme "Colormag" (the search form creates a new page according to what the search term is, and sets the tag for the page with the search term)
