TASK - Modification of existing PHP script To enable a user to choose their own subdomain on our NEW "[login to view URL]" domain, after they have created a web page. 1. After a user creates a web page, the default public URL will be this structure: [login to view URL] 2. The user should then have the option to choose their custom subdomain on our NEW "[login to view URL]" domain (not “[login to view URL]”), with this URL structure: [login to view URL] 3. Therefore, the objective is to simply direct: [login to view URL] to: [login to view URL] IMPORTANT [login to view URL] should still work UNTIL user updates to [login to view URL] (i.e. if the user does not enter a custom subdomain, the default [login to view URL] URL should still work.) This is important, as there are many existing web pages that have already been created. BACKEND What should be there in a user’s backend: 1. Users should be able to choose a custom subdomain for each web page created. Subdomain should be on the new “[login to view URL]” domain. a) User enters the subdomain name and clicks on “check availability.” If the subdomain is available, it will be assigned to that web page. b) If not - user should see a message stating that “Subdomain has already been taken.” 2. Subdomain should be assigned to the web page id ([login to view URL]), when the HTTP request come to server - php script should catch host header and compare it with id. a) If id is matching the host header - MAXeSite should be displayed b) If id is not matching the host - should be redirected to main page 3. Each web page can have its own subdomain, and subdomain should not be attached to the user. Subdomain should be attached to the id. Secret word: supersite
