I'm a website designer and usually have pretty basic design & build website projects. I took on a Social/Dating type project and now need some help pulling it all together with all the various plug in's, etc.
I'm using the Wordpress Themosaurus Gwangi Theme and have implemented all the parts and pieces (plug in's, add on's, etc) that all my research seemed to suggest that I needed to add to make this a functional dating/social type site. The biggest parts I have added are BuddyPress and Paid Memberships Pro with various add on's for both of these.
The biggest issue I'm confused on is how to make the Membership Levels I've created function with the proper Member Level RESTRICTIONS that my clients are wanting. I have just added the plug in called BuddyPress Membership Restrictions ( a KaineLabs product) as it seemed like the best of about 5 different plug in's I was looking into to create the functionality I'm wanting. (Not sure it it's the one I need or not, but seemed to be more specific for what I want). But I can't figure out USER restrictions vs. Membership Level restrictions and how these two integrate to create the result we're wanting.
Primary differences in Membership Levels set up in Paid Memberships Pro (cost tiers) will be 1) the NUMBER of GROUPS a membership LEVEL can create or interact with and 2) only the higher cost levels being able to access the live VIDEO chatting option.
What I'm really needing is someone to look at the site as a whole and pull everything together to make it all work together functionally and as my client is requesting. You will be able to see all the Plug In's I've added. There may be others I'm missing and some I don't even need, but this is where I need the help at this point. I do not need any design help. This is strictly functionality ...
