We seek a front-end developer with design skills. Excellent knowledge of Bootstrap, jQuery and a good eye for colors & fonts will be required.
We have a fairly popular sports site in Greece. The existing design is quite dated, built using lots of HTML, custom CSS and jQuery. We want to completely rebuild it using latest versions of Bootstrap & jQuery and less HTML. The design should also freshen up (better fonts, better whitespace use etc) but we want all basic elements to stay where they are. A visitor seeing the site after your work is finished should feel the site is more crisp and modern but everything remains in the same place.
Important note: the site has a completely different desktop and mobile version. We intend to keep it that way. The desktop version should use some media queries, but smaller screen sizes will not be handled by the desktop version.
Deliverables:
- Complete frontend code (CSS, HTML, JavaScript) for the desktop and mobile version.
- A style guide for common elements (titles, forms, tables etc).
- Pixel perfect, cross browser support
- SVG images (including a redesign of our logo in vector format)
Great communication is very important. If successful this will most likely lead to more work. Some things that will be done immediately after this:
- A night/dark mode
- UX improvements (in our tables, in our forms etc)
- Page by page improvements
- Mobile Apps
- Many misc stuff not included in the first phase
This is a pressing project for us, so we'll prefer if you can work full-time on it. and to not waste time, you must pass the simple test.
