Hey, for the demo I'd collect GPS inside a persistent foreground service and handle the OEM battery whitelist that kills background tracking on Huawei and Xiaomi. Done this before on Chinese devices, and the speed-based 5s/15s switch is the easy part once that's sorted. EMUI 12+ or older? The workaround differs and I've got both.
