This project makes use of the back end solution already made which I have the license for $180--- see demo at www.alstrasoft.com--- efriends at [url removed, login to view] I have downloaded it. Once we get started, I will just ftp it to you. The back end will require minor coding changes to adapt for my needs, but will make use of most of the code already written with efriends. The crux of the website will be proximity based profiles--- browsing and searching through church, apartment complex, neighborhood, and other community type profiles. We will be making use of the groups link in efriends which we'll change to communities of specific types and individuals profiles under each community. Both the group and indiviual profiles code in written. It will just take some modifications. 25-50 hrs. perhaps 30% coding, and remainder rearranging and deleting things from efriends backend.
The site and therefore the global navigation and left side navigation within each community will need to be adapted for what is global and what is particular to each community on the site. The site will have many communities based on user input of making communities in different cities.
The coding changes which much of efriends code can be used will be used to ensure the following unique features:
- multiple types of communities based on location—city. Can see what communities are available in different cities.
- each community leader (person who started the community) can ban members
- admin section can delete bad community names or have filter or have other means to ensure not abused
- public and private communities (think this is already a feature of efriends, but depending on the community would have to request permission to join if private and not request if public)
