Drupal 6.2 customization - using bluemarine as a basis to:
1. Render the top area (above the header) into a zone accepting full html from the theme configuration. The purpose is to allow populating the zone with images, text, and links from the content area on the theme page. The existing logo and site name, etc., are to be removed, leaving the real, topmost, site header fully programmable.
2. Remove the text from the SEARCH form, and make it accessible for placement, size and formatting, i.e. length, height, color, anywhere on the site.
3. Render the area at the top of the navigation menu in the left sidebar (above the “admin” title in the attachment, into a zone accepting full html from the theme configuration.
4. Make $type available in bluemarine/[url removed, login to view], i.e. so a statement allowing customizations in templates along the lines of [if $type == ‘story’] functions.
As an alternative, the bluemarine theme can be replicated into a new theme of any name and the customizations can be done there.
FTP access and MYSQL access on a virgin installation of 6.2 will be made available for the work.
As we build content for the site, further customizations are anticipated, and logically will be requested via the board from the same contractor performing this work.
Please don't bid on this project unless you have Drupal 6.2 references. Please note that there is NO design work involved. The work is in the BACKEND of Drupal, and involves creating access to 2 areas via a block interface: the true header of the site and the very top of the left sidebar, above the designated title, if one is defined or not. Removal of the text from the search_form array and creating global access to the variable $type are the remaining tasks in this project.
Please note: We will request an invoice for the work done, with some indication of the hours spent for each of the 4 tasks.
