My organization is looking for a custom budgeting software which could potentially integrate with QuickBooks (integration is not a requirement but would be nice). We have 8 departments, and about 55 separate program budgets within those 8 departments, all of which need to be able to be entered/reported by program budget, by department, and roll up into one master budget. Software platform would have the flexibility to add/delete program budgets each year, maintain prior year data in reporting, compare prior/current year data in reporting, immediate master-budget recalculation with program budget changes, time-based payroll allocation to all the different programs per employee, health insurance cost allocation by employee per % time allocation to different program budgets, payroll/time allocation input by either hours per project or percent of total hours per year, and different user/access privileges based per sign-in. We would also like the ability to select what kind of income calculation should happen per program (set amount, expenses + overhead, etc.) Other modifications/capabilities may be needed as the development process progresses.
