I built a database using FileMaker Pro for a non-profit. However, the client wants many live database functions to be accessible on the Web from various different sign-on account types. In order to accomplish this, either:
- we would build a website using PHP to query and post to FileMaker Pro, retaining FileMaker as the main database, OR
- we would build the entire thing in SQL, abandoning FileMaker.
Public users will be able to go to the web site, register as one of several different user types, and enter their information. Specific information from other users would be available, based on the logged-in user type, in searches. User would retain log-in credential for logging in again later.
I would be happy to share more detailed specs with serious prospects, and to show what we've built so far.
