I need an application to log and monitor how long production staff take to complete an assigned works order and compare this to the allocated time.
The application will need a front end on several PC's with in the production department linked to a server side database. I would like to operators to use a bar-code scanner to input the data for ease of use and to avoid error.
The Operator bar-codes would consist of the following:
Operator ID (Unique ID for that operator)
Works order (a 6 digit number unique to that order)
Assembly part number (A part number for the item being manufactured, this may re-occur on a different works order number in the future)
Quantity being manufactured
Function (a simple start/stop or what you think is suitable to start/stop the timer)
A works order can take between 10 minuets to several weeks to build and complete depending on the product.
Multiple operators maybe working on the same works order at the same time.
Approximately 15 operators will be using this at any given time
Operator cannot be working on more than one job a a time, so must have to scan out before scanning on the the next one.
Supervisor to be able to make manual adjustments to time if errors occur.
Supervisor to allocate time to a works order, this can be done via two options, total works order time or time per assembly part number.
Supervisor to have simple visibility of which works order an operator is working on, how much total total time has been logged against that works order (from any operator who has logged time against it) and how this compares to the allocated time.
Supervisor to be able to run a report (likely to be monthly) to show hours each operator logged in the selected time period, their efficiency % logged time vs allocated time and the same figures for the department as a whole.
