I've been working on a Zen Cart Website on my own for the past couple months on an off, but I don't know anything about php or zen cart, so everything I've done has been from reading on this forum, but some things are just over my head. I've finally given up on the last few things I need done and I'd like to hire someone to do them for me. I've seen solutions for all of these problems in the forum but don't want to attempt implementing them on my own.
Things I need done:
1. The first thing relates to attributes. I have SBA installed, but the way it is set up is for multiple attributes to be set up as though they are related to each other, so I could have a shirt with a size, color, and style. What I need is two independent attribute fields that count stock, for example the first attribute field is for color. I have 5 red units 5 black units and 5 purple units so I have 15 units in total. The second attribute field asks if they'd like to add a gift box for an additional $3. I have 20 gift boxes, but all of the products give the gift box option, or you could order a gift box by itself. Every time someone orders a gift box I want it to lower the inventory on gift boxes by one across the entire site, and if they don't order a gift box it should just lower the quantity of the product they ordered and not affect the gift box quantity. I've tried entering "no gift box" as having 1000 units, and "gift box" as 20 but the problem is that then it things I have 1020 units of the product, and I really only have fifteen. This also only works for one product. As soon as I have a second product it doesn't work anymore because SBA doesn't understand that the box stock number is the same on both products.
2. Recently I've run into a time out issue when going to the checkout page. I've read that this may be related to hosting or ssl. The host I'm using now is godaddy and its pretty slow so I wouldn't mind switching to hostgator, but I'd need help with the transfer because I'm not sure how to transfer databases and such without losing information. Right now I'm not using ssl and i'm not sure if I need to be on the checkout page because I'm using third party payment gateway (alertpay) so the cc info isn't entered on my site but if ssl is something I should be using then I need help setting that up.
3. I need to use alertpay as my payment gateway, and I've read endless problems that people have integrating it into zen cart. The most common solution seems to be to use the paypal ipn to communicate with alertpay, but i tried to set this up and someone managed to place an order using paypal. I don't want people to be able to use paypal. I'm also a Canadian based company and my pricing is in Canadian dollars however when I receive a payment it comes in in US dollars. I would rather receive my payments in Canadian, and have the buyer have to pay the conversion fee instead of receiving payments in US dollars. I'd still like the site to have the currency feature so they can see how much it will cost them in US dollars but the payment should be processed in Canadian dollars.
4. These are my only issues right now, but I'd like to hire someone that is open to having an ongoing relationship if more issues arise in the future.
