Web site redesign and framework needed

I need an update to my web page at [login to view URL], basically all what's there needs to be there, and I want it to have a much fresher and professional look. The only management program that I'm currently running is the Wordpress blog. Apart from that, it's all hand coded html and php file and the only automation is inclusion from within php. I want to move to a simple CMS system that let me add content in a simplier way, preferably using something like markdown to write the pages in. I don't really have a preference on what kind of cms to use for this so please come with a suggestion.
