This bid request is for a 16 page static website for a company that designs, builds and installs high quality kitchens. We are acting as agents for them. The site must use XHTML/CSS with a separate file for the stylesheet, i.e. table-less layout. Content only in the HTML, all layout information in the separate stylesheet. The HTML/CSS must be clean and fully validate. Small amounts of javascript are ok, but the site must fall back gracefully for users that have switched javascript off (better not to use javascript at all if possible). The site must display correctly on the following browsers: IE6, IE7, Safari, Firefox and Chrome. The pages mostly will contain a few photos with accompanying text - we will provide all the photos and all the text. You will need to crop/resize and otherwise "photoshop" the photos to make the colour balance, exposure, etc match, but the photos are all fairly high quality and should not need too much "tweaking". There is one page that will need a PHP script (contact us page with contact form) but we will write the PHP - you just need to design the page with the form on it. Finally, there will be some Flash work required - the homepage will need a nice rectangular Flash banner on it with photos that merge/appear in and out of view. We use Flash Professional CS3 therefore your work must be compatible. If you need to ask any questions before bidding, please do so, but we will require a fixed cost bid in order to accept your offer of work. Anyone not placing a bid with a fixed amount will not be offered the job. The work needs to be uploaded onto our own server on a regular basis during development for viewing and on completion we will require all copies of photoshop files and other source material used. The copyright of the finished work will be ours and the developer may not use the work as a showcase for their own work. Thanks for bidding and good luck!
