Build a easy-to-use tool to choose color schemes. The tool will provide a number of ways for the user to devise appealing color schemes. The tool will be based in color theory, so the user starts with a color, sets 1 or 2 sliders or widgets which define how harmonious or electric the color choices are, and then colors are suggested. We will spend considerable time devising how this should work so that normal people with zero color theory background can define appealing color schemes. You should be quite familiar with color theory, basic issues of cognition, and also how L*a*b* colorspaces operate. You should also be very proficient in ActionScript. The tools will include some ideas from tools like these: [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] Note that we are specifically not developing a more technically oriented hex/rgb tool like the following: [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] There will be follow-on work, as I suspect it will take about 2 months to make a great tool, but please bid for TWO WEEKS of work, and plan to create basic functionality. Timeframe is approx a week designing the UI for the tool, and a week building it. You will get ongoing feedback from us. I created the [url removed, login to view] picker above. Please visit that URL, and include the first word on the page as the first word in your PMB. We look forward to your bid.
