Your job will be to create a wordpress widget, which after installation, will allow users to browse guitar chords. There is a similar sample in the middle of the page here: [url removed, login to view]
The widget would work just the same, with 3 variables:
- Input 1: Chord key (A,B,C,D,E,F,G)
- Input 2: Type of chord (major, minor, etc., all together 34 types)
- Input 3: Voicing (6 voicings)
The output, as with the referred sample, would be a jpg. As you can see, all together this makes for 7x34x6=1428 combinations. Each picture would be hosted at a predefined location, and fetched on each query.
The name of the chord would also need to be an output, placed right above the picture, which will simply be input 1 (chord key) and input 2 (type of chord) joined.
The widget also needs to have a default picture (gif), which shows prior to the user choosing the input variables.
No designing required, just the programming for the widget to function, and for it to be widgetized to work with wordpress.
Ps.: I've uploaded a sample of the pics that will serve as output. The naming convention used for the pictures is standardized as follows: [url removed, login to view], with
- X = fixed 1 character (key of chord)
- Y = set number of characters as per the 34 chord types
- Z = chord1, chord2 ... chord6
