Purchasing is done via Wordpress WooCommerce. The goal is to use a 3rd party sites' links to add items to the WooCommerce cart. WooCommerce add to cart links are easy enough: http://server/shop?add-to-cart=1234 where 1234 is the WooCommerce id. We don't control the ids generated for the 3rd party site or the ids generated via WooCommerce.
Since they don't line up we'd like to use the WooCommerce SKU or some other custom field where we can input the 3rd party site's id and have WooCommerce look it up via a link like: http://server/shop?add-to-cart=5678 where 5678 is the product's id from the 3rd party site. We could also make the WooCommerce product id's editable, whichever is easier.
