We need some minor work done on the Property Search box in the sidebar on our property listings pages ([url removed, login to view]).
Basically the clear button is programmed to remove any new search items that have been selected in the form. We want all of the search items to either autoclear after a search or to clear all items when clicked. Let me explain the programming as it is now:
• If I go to the properties page and start selecting items in the Property Search area and click clear it will remove all of those items that I have selected (Perfect).
• If I chose an option (say Carson City in the City Name field) and click Search it will give me a list of all the properties in Carson City (Good). On the search results page Carson City still remains in the City Name field. If I hit clear Carson City DOES NOT clear.
• Now, if I I am on the search results from the Carson City search and I start to select other options (say # of bedrooms and # of bathrooms) and I click clear, these new items will clear (Good) but Carson City will remain (Bad.
My client would like one of two options:
1. After a user performs a search of any kind, the Property Search form auto-clears on the search results page. In the case above, I would get the results for a Carson City search but I would not see Carson City in the Property Search form on the search results page.
2. If #1 is not possible, we would like the clear button to actually clear Carson City from the Property Search form after a search is performed. We do not want it to change the results, just clear the name.
