We scan alot of paperwork to pdf using Adobe Acrobat and an inhouse program developed by someone else. This in house program uses a barcode (barcode is printed letter size paper and placed on top of the pile of paper to be scanned) to send the scanned job to a directory on the network for that person. Everyone has their own barcode.
I want to eliminate the in house program all together and have Adobe Acrobat use its own ability to generate barcodes and send to its perspective directory.
From what I read at Adobe's site, this has to be done in Java, but whatever works best. I'd prefer the ability to be able to add and remove barcodes and be able to tell it specific directory names (e.g. person's last name) without having to recode everytime a change is needed.
