Extend the Windows XP Shell with the capacity to mount SSH login accounts as drive letters.
The implementations's driver/tool-set should integrate with the PuTTY open source SSH Tools (follow this [link]). Pagent, the PuTTY authentication manager, should be the source for public/private key authenication information. Further, PuTTY's Windows registry cache of login accounts could be accessed to extend a list of remembered account-to-drive-letter mappings.
I want results that I can use. I also want a project that I can open source. I intend to donate a minimum-function code-base to PuTTY's developers so that this tool can continue to be useful to individuals everywhere.
See the attached '[url removed, login to view]' file. Enclosed is '[url removed, login to view]', a simple rendering of the requirements as I imagine them.
Modern Windows operating systems. Like the components of the PuTTY project. At very least: - Windows XP - Windows 2000 - Windows 2003 It seems unlikely that it will be trivial to include Windows 9x platforms in a project with potential to involve low-level OS integration.
