My company is in the planning stages for a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) web-portal service, and I need help from an expert to nail down the specifics of the various pieces.
In this software system, our existing PC software application will be upgraded with a SOAP client. That client will periodically connect to the MySQL database server and synchronize contents. A PHP-based web interface will then be constructed, to display and modify the database contents.
In this project, I don't expect a completed solution. All I want to do is to clearly and accurately specify the components, including: version numbers, required mods, etc. More details about our existing PC software and the nature of its internal database will of course be made available.
1) Complete documentation and illustrations as necessary, usable as a software system specification.
2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
The server-side platform is LAMP: Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. The client-side platform is Windows. The transport between the client and server is SOAP over HTTPS.
