This project involves the creation of a component that can (1) push text to a textbox in another process, (2) push text to a password-style textbox in another process, (3) push text to an MSIE text input control, and (4) push text to an MSIE password input control.
The solution must not use the windows clipboard and must not use keyboard-related APIs such as SendKeys, keybd_event or the SendInput.
Instead, the component should (1) use a hotkey to retrieve the handle of the control with focus in the active window, and (2) use another hotkey to push text to that control directly.
CLARIFICATION OF THE PARAGRAPH ABOVE: Item #1 in the paragraph above would involve the user selecting the foreign / target control and pressing a Windows hotkey to retrieve the handle of that control. Item #2 in the paragraph above would involve the user pressing a Windows hotkey to activate the text push to the foreign / target control while focus is on this app or even another app.
Although the component should be written in vb.net, I may still consider a bid to write the component in another language and include a vb.net sample application that consumes it.
