I was wondering if someone could review a perl script that someone wrote for me and make the necessary corrections. He wrote it and then fell off the face of the earth. I don't know much Perl, unfortunately.
The script was written to refresh a particular website every 30, 45 or 60 seconds ([url removed, login to view]). This particular website posts substitute teaching jobs in my town. However, it seems like there's too many substitutes and too few jobs and when a job is available, it's gone within one minute. This script did the auto refresh and when it found a job that met certain criteria, it "auto accepted" it.
The script works, but not perfectly. It's suppose to email me when a job comes up, but doesn't. And, after it's on for a few hours, it shuts off with an error message (sorry, I don't remember what the error message).
Finally, I would like to "transfer" the whole script to other computers, (by burning to a cd or transfering via FTP) but I don't know how, or if it's possible.
Please let me know what you think. Thanks.
