I want an application that can take all of the text files from a user specified folder and append them to a new user defined text file. It should also be capable of selecting multiple files for the same process. For instance, When the select file screen opens up I can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl key. The order is only dependent on how MS Windows shows the files from the folder but that is not really important to me The important goal is having one single file as the result. So whatever files I selected or the folder that I selected, the files should be appended together as if it were a really large text file There should be an option to add a separator line between each text file during the append process so the user can see in the larger file where each file began and ended Make sure that selecting multiple files that there is no limit. Likewise with selecting a folder. It is possible that 100's of files could be processed or even in a couple of instances that 1,000s of files would be processed One last note about the input text files. And option should exist for the user to select whether or not to remove the first 1-5 lines of the text file being processed. This number varies from vendor to vendor so the user will have to know which number to select but it should be less than 9 AN option to save the combined file should also exist as well Text File Splitter This can be a sep program or incorp into this one Basically, this should reverse the Combiner. The new filename should be the title or the first line of the text. Also, the files as they are being saved should be placed in their own folder as selected by the user. There should also be no duplicate filenames if so then add a counter and notify the user after processing The application should be able to run on any Windows platform and should not require any special or additional DLL. There does not have to be an install program just the EXE and I will get the source code
