I am looking for someone to develop a complete WordPress theme for a new web site. The theme must be compatible with WP 2.0, and validate fully. This is not so much a design project, as you will see from the sample files. I need a complete and working WordPress template (including CSS) coded using proper DIV tags and PHP. If you have no knowledge of WordPress 2.0 templates and their design, please do not bid.
Here are the requirements. Please read them carefully. I have provided explicit details as to what the site should do, and what should happen when people click on a Category, etc. 3 sample pages have been provided: one that shows the "home" page, another showing a "category" page, and another showing a "post" page. Please refer to these images when reading the text that follows.
The project will be considered complete when the template is delivered, installed and tested for proper functionality on my test site, where I have WordPress 2.x installed.
Layout: Header, 3-Column Layout, Footer.
Page width ~ 1000px
Left sidebar ~120px
Center column ~700px
Right sidebar ~180px
Home page: When a person first visits the site, the left sidebar will list all of the categories/subcategories available as an alphabetical list (subcategories must be indented, as shown). The middle pane will display the 8 most recent posts (title + 2 lines of the text + URL), with stacked Adsense ads to the right. The right sidebar will display the site's Google search box. See "home.jpg" for details.
When a user clicks to view a post: The left sidebar will continue to display the list of categories/subcategories. The post will obviously be visible in the middle pane. The right sidebar will display the Google search box, followed by an ordered list of all articles in the post's category. Please re-read the last sentence, as it is vitally important. See "post.jpg" for details.
Post layout: As mentioned, posts always appear in the middle pane. The upper-left corner of this column will always be populated by a Google AdSense ad. The only thing that should appear in the post itself is its title, followed by the text. I do not want any comment boxes, post date details, etc, included with the article.
Category page layout: When a user clicks a link in the left sidebar to view all of the posts in a given category, The list of links will appear, with 2 Google Adsense boxes stacked on the right side. The list of articles will include the title + 2 lines of text + URL. Users will access the article by clicking on its title or URL. The right sidebar displays the Google search box and an alphabetic list of subcategories. See "category.jpg" for details.
Every Category must have its own dymnamically generated RSS/Atom feed, as should the site's homepage.
The site's header will include a logo at the top left, with a 468x60 banner beside it. Beneath these will be a horizontal line of static links to the site's main pages (Home, About, Contact, Disclaimer, etc)
The site's footer will display copyright details, centered.
