I need a small implementation of TCPDF on a custom Wordpress site. The site is nearly finished and is for an academic journal. We have tried a lot of TCPDF plug-ins, but none provide quite the right combination of formatting and settings. Just to be clear: we need no help with the Wordpress theme, but with the TCPDF php code. I want to be able to drop a link into my theme, for a specified number of single posts within a category, and that link to generate the PDF.
What we need the TCPDF modification to consist of:
* custom font (Georgia)
* custom page margins
* cover page (containing images, some text, some links)
* auto page numbers
* active links between text and footnotes and active hyperlinks
* good handling of images and captions.
* finally, since we are Wordpress rookies, we might need some help or instructions installing the TCPDF package on our server.
Images have proved the most difficult: all plug-ins have struggled to make these flow as well as possible, with some loss of parts of the image, and some strange distribution of half-cropped images down one page, etc. We are aware that the PDFs are created on the fly and that perfect page formatting may not be possible, but I hope we can improve on the current situation.
Send me a message for further info. I could provide some sample posts. The site is currently live but in a protected directory, to which I could provide temporary access.
