I am looking for a fairly basic website created from copy I will provide (I have also registered the URL). The reason I think this is fairly basic is because no doubt the parts are fairly common around the web and I don't mind if large chunks of the programming is duplicative from other projects (assuming no copyright laws are broken).
The site needs to support content submission and have an easy way for admins to approve submissions which then get posted. Some parts of the content will need to remain hidden and accessible only to site admins (for example, e-mail addresses of those submitting content). I will need some minimal work done to incorporate a general theme into the design -- I can provide graphics and give some guidance on this. The look isn't very important, though -- I am really looking for functionality in how easy it is for people to submit content through the site and how easy it would be for admins to approve the submitted content. I would also like to be able to occasionally update front page text on the site (I am comfortable editing in HTML and XML).
I would also need the site loaded onto a host (I will secure a host).
Some more specifics:
Need a front page with intro text and navigation, including:
- "Random" button to randomly jump to a posted piece of content.
- Table of contents that automatically updates with newly posted content. Sorted by state / country.
- Link to a page of useful links that admins could update.
- Link to a form to submit content.
- Link for admins to log in and approve content.
Need the ability for content to be submitted in text, picture (in this case a photo of the person submitting the content), and common audio formats. Admins can edit and approve text, and approve picture and audio -- text would become a content post with link to audio, and include author details and picture (if provided). Basically a short author bio/picture next to their submitted content.
Also need the ability for admins to edit or delete content submissions as needed.
I think that's it -- let me know if it looks like I'm forgetting something. Thanks!
