Paper League is planned to be a gaming league unlike any other.
The £3-5k budget is not strict and we would like to see your own quotations for our project.
What is required of you:
Extremely good coding and implementation skills, a flare for graphic design and great knowledge of website design on a whole. Experience with web security and MySQL. Vast knowledge of various web programming languages is a huge plus.
Great communication skills, the ability to understand our requirements and our vision and deliver upon that. We would also like daily updates, just an email at the end of each day would be enough, we would just like to closely track progression.
We would like to review any graphics and the general web layout along the way, so we all know we are understanding each other.
We will be available online many hours a day for any questions or inquiries you have during the project if they arise.
Our project requirements:
User login (encrypted).
A personal profile for each user.
A tournament bracket system (Cup Addon V4 is acceptable.. and also free. The bracket system must support thousands of users that can be added to the bracket system in an automated/one click fashion, these will of course elect themselves to participate in said tournament first.)
An automated achievement system such as the one in World of Warcraft and Stacraft 2 and the Xbox 360.
An easy to use yet robust CMS (we have small coding experience and good general IT knowledge, ease of use is important.)
I think you get the general idea, decent examples of online gaming leagues would be The SGL and certainly The ESL. These websites will help give you an idea of how ours will be used.
Design - You must be a skilled graphic designer, we would like to stick with the colour scheme apparent in the logo, pinks/purples/greys and possibly blues such as the ones currently on our website. Put your own twist on it, I love seeing something that suprises and amazes me. We do plan on keeping our current logo, however will will provide you with the PSD for any alterations you would like to make and for any implementations. You may view our current site at [url removed, login to view]
The best example I can find of what I would like is [url removed, login to view]
I like the bold and bright colour scheme which is also pretty to look at and with the website being almost seamless looking, ie. no chunky central website with a clear rectangular shape and background.
The 2 LARGEST and most outstanding features of the website.
1. It must accept currency, It must accept payments directly from bank accounts and various forms of payment.
2. How this is going to be implemented: A user may buy into different tournaments/cash cups with greatly increased prize pools with a small deposit charge on their accounts.
A user can see their account balance and withdraw their funds at no cost. The user will be able to see upcoming cups, free and buy-in ones and pay directly from the funds held within their account. We would like to work together closely when bringing this part to life to ensure we have everything in place on our end that is required.
We pay our top players, so we would like to be automatically notified of the top 25 players in each of our leagues at the end of each month.
We would like a challenge system, where players can challenge each other and schedule challenges (practice or for money)
We also want an instant challenge system where they can browse players currently looking for challenges and message each other.
The website must support easy expansion in the future, we will most likely come back to you for any future work and expansions.
That is our entire project, we expect it will take up to 60 days. You can ignore the set budget and devise your own prices on what you would charge for a project like this. We will only pick you if you are reputable.
Thank you for taking your time to read this, I hope to be working with you soon. Happy bidding! - Mike.
