My OSCommerce site is having errors communicating with PayPal.
The trouble is my webhosting site uses shared SSL, and I've never had any of the *.pem certificates so I have nothing to put in the IPN fields. My hosting site says that PayPal shouldn't need any type of certificates for the ecommerce/shopping cart part to work.
I have not received any answer from some of the OSCommerce sites by the same hosting service on how they work with PayPal. Here's what I need then:
1. Some way of getting my current IPN PayPal contribution completely set up and working properly - without having a Private&Public certificate.
OR 2. A new PayPal contibution working properly with my website.
3. Possibly getting a private and public certificate to get this working.
4. PayPal payments working with the standard PayPal services I have without upgrading to Pro or Virtual Terminal. I do NOT want customers putting their credit card information in my site...only shipping information and paying through PayPal.
If you know you can get my OSCommerce site working properly with the standard PayPal account, please post a bid. If you're not sure because I don't have any certificates available to me or because my website has shared SSL, you're in the same boat with me... I'd really like to streamline the whole check out process anyways so please let me know if you can do this. THANK YOU!
Edit (additional info):
To see the exact problem, please go to www.themoorecollection.com, add some item to your cart and try to pay... you'll get an error.
The IPN contribution for OSCommerce has not been set up properly. I have been told that this is because of the certificates for my website are missing. My webhosting will NOT provide them; they only have a shared SSL certificate on the server. If you know how to get around this, or of something else working with PayPal (standard) could be installed, please send me another PM.
