Developing a website - Is this possible?

I'm not sure if this website idea is possible or not. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this.

I would like to have a website created where people can search for the fastest way to fly home. If someone is stuck in a city and they have a family emergency back home I want them to be able to go to this website and type in their departure city and arrival city and find the fastest route home. That may be making a stopover or transferring from one airline to another. This would not be a website to find the best deal on airfare. It is important to get a person home as fast as possible.

I had this happen to me and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. My mom was at home in the hospital dying while I was on vacation. I was trying desperately to get home. I had to search all different airlines to see if I could get the fastest flight home. In an emergency you don't have a good head on you to sit and search for the best flights.
