Im looking to hire someone that can clone a site with all its features to two sites. I would like my site to be fully functional with the same features as a [url removed, login to view] Before you reply please join model mayhem to thoroughly go thru that site and its features and let me know if you are capable.
The site features profiles, portfolio pictures, search for members, casting calls/travel notices, community forum, contest, internal messaging, basic networking tools such as tags, favorites, lists, and bulletins.
Profile. The profile page is a basic one page profile showing a single image with details below. There is a section for a biographies, credits, and lists followed by a friends list panel with tags underneath. The design is obviously borrowed from Myspace but even Myspace has since moved beyond this basic design. The profile pages do not host any feeds, event notices, or any friend activities, or bulletins so common in other social networking sites.
Portfolio. Portfolios are basic thumbnail layouts with view counts under the photos. Members can configure if all images are displayed on the thumbnail page. Depending on the view option chosen, one of two views will appear. 1. opening the photo opens a new page with the photo, lists, and comments under the photo. 2. opening a photo uses lightbox effect to render the image in the foreground while darkening the background. Along with the photo, links for Details | Comment | Add to list | Credits are displayed. There are no advanced photo features such as exif data or the ability to tag other members present in the photos.
Browse. The browse/search for members section has been improved vastly over the previous version. Members can now search based on a full list of criterion including genres, compensation, stats, nudity, and/or experience level.
Casting. Casting consists of a casting call section, a travel notice section, and an availability section. The casting section was redesigned allowing for more specific searches but its usefulness remains a challenge as Model Mayhem has failed to deal with an ever increasing flood of spam and casting calls which violate rules.
Forum. The forum is based on a proprietary design with very basic features. Despite these shortcomings, the Model Mayhem forum continues to be the most active among the sites in this category with tens of millions of posts to date.
Shout. The shout box is a rudimentary chat box where posts rolls off the page within seconds.
Contest. There is a Picture of the day Contest and a separate 18+ Picture of the day contest. Winners are manually announced daily on Model Mayhem's Facebook feed.
Bulletins. Members can make bulletin announcements but those announcements do not appear anywhere on the site except the bulletin section so its usefulness is limited.
List. Members can add pictures to lists. Members can also opt out of having their images included in lists.
Privacy. There are some very basic privacy features. Members can hide their 18+ images from non member view. There is no option to hide profiles from non member view and all content viewable by non members is indexed by Google. That includes profile text, forum postings, tags, and possibly picture comments. There is a block feature. When it works, it will prevent blocked members from sending messages, posting tags, and posting picture comments in the profile that blocked them. Its functionality has been on and off for the last several years. Blocking someone does not prevent their access to a profile for viewing.
