USB Interface with VB 6.0. Extract Images over USB form capture device

What I need to be able to do: Extract JPEG images from our device via the USB Be able to write to the device to change channels Be able to write to the device to control camera features such as brightness and contrast. What I have: Winbond w9968cf JPEG encoder with built in USB hosting capabable of delivering JPEG images Phillips SA111AH analog to digital converter Drivers for the Winbond chip along with INF files. The device does actually install correctly in the PC as an imaging device. What I need: Help interfacing VB 6.0 with this device. Whether it be API calls, an ActiveX control or a DLL, we need an interface to the device through vb. Once I can figure out how to communicate with the device, the rest should be easy. I do not want to use direct show or VFW since the device has a JPEG encoder chip on board (w9968cf). I want to be able to request a JPEG image and then receive one over USB right into vb. Something like this: NewJPEGImage = CaptureJPEG() Where newJPEGimage would hold a string that contains the JPEG image and CaptureJPG would be some sort of funtion that can communicate with the device and request a new image. We also want to be able to change camera contols. Call SelectVideoChannel(2) which would change the video channel to 2. I have all specs for all of our parts on hand so once the communication is setup, the rest should be easy. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
