I need a routine written for VB6 which includes an SQL statement using the LIKE method to search for text in fields in an access database. This should be very simple for someone. I could actually do it myself but don't have the time.
Here is what I need:
I want to enter in a textbox some words or partial words sperated by spaces. Then I want to search in a table where fields named Name1, Name2 and Name3 are searched for each string using the LIKE.
In otherwords, if I enter John Doe as two words in the text box, it will search for John in all three fields and also search for Doe in all three fields and the text can be found anywhere in the fields.
So this routine will split up the words entered in the text box and then build the sql statement based on the text entered.
I need this soon and PLEASE only bid if your a pro at SQL and know about using the LIKE in the sql statement. I believe the symbol % has to go on each side of the words in the statement?
