I need a function/subroutine for a vb.net console application
the requirements are as follows:
I have attached the script for a 14 column table in which the last column in a auto number Primary Key for the table in Sql Server.
I need the function to load a dataset with the current data from this table, and then create a primary key on this dataset that involves the columns 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 13. Note that this is different from the actual Primary key defined in the schema of the database.
Next, I need the function to take an existing Array list which has n rows and 14 columns and loop through each row, adding it to the dataset.
The purpose of defining the Primary Key manually is to skip all those rows in the array list that are already in the dataset.
When this is done, the dataset will be copied to a new temporary dataset that will only have the changes (new rows that were inserted).
I already have the code, but it is not working as expected. It does everything but also inserts rows that are already present in the dataset.
I need this ASAP and will provide a good bonus once this works on my application
Function/Sub that provides the correct dataset
