A project for the mathematically (trigonometry) savvy.
I have a VB picture box containing an image, as well as an off-screen memory DC/bitmap containing a second image.
I would like the solution to this project to perform two possible actions:
1.) The second image replaces the original image via a “radar sweep?? transition.
2.) A radar sweep transition goes across the first picture box image, but no image change occurs
Both DC sizes are known.
The center point pixel coordinates of the sweep (e.g. the radar site) may or may not be within the visible width/height bounds of the hDCs.
In reference to freeware code available at:
<[url removed, login to view]> (LightSaber!), I would like the sweep to be preceded by a visible, increasingly transparent "sweeping" beam.
1.) This beam must be customizable in angular width (steps) and color.
2.) Sweep/image replacement speed should be customizable.
Speed is important, so if you want to achieve this by an asynchronous .dll with a callback, that’s great! Just provide the VB routines necessary to make this all happen.
Good news ??" the original code of this project was 80-85% done and dropped off the face of the earth. You are more than welcome to his Delphi code and the sort-of working .exe to see where we were headed.
