I'm looking for code (a module perhaps) that will allow me to monitor my computer's Pop3 email port for inbound email much the same way Symantic Anti-Virus does it. What I want to do is grab email as it's coming in, process it and then pass it on to the email client.
I use several different email clients (Outlook at home, a custom client at the office and Hotmail) so basically it must work with any Pop3 server rather than be built around the client. I'd like to do this as simply as possible - minimum code, clear commenting, etc.
No Formal GUI is needed (you can hard code any values that a user might need to enter) and I will write the code/create the GUI that actually configures it and processes the email so it's a simple project from that perspective.
On Form1 - just drop a multi-line textbox to display the data as it streams in - that should be enough to get me going.
My preference is to use pure API calls rather than controls (like the Winsock control) and again, minimal coding - I'de like this to be as compact as possible.
I give great ratings and quick project closure - I also am sarting to do a lt of projects here so I'm hoping to hook up with a great coder!
