Cabinet Cutlist Maker (Add Ons)

I have written a program that calculates the dimensions of cabinet parts. It calculates every wood part that goes into building a conventional cabinet. I have been programming on and off since 1990, but am in no way an expert, nor intermediate programmer. I learned by trial and error, no school, etc. However I have written several construction programs for Windows that work very well, though no frills, etc. I want some frills, etc put into my software. For my cabinet program, I need bids on the following three projects: **_1) Help system_** I need a coder to take the help files I write in MS Word, and make a professional looking help system. He will do everything except write the help files in .DOC format. For this, I do not expect to have to upload the programs code, to the coder. But the end product must be built so I may easily integrate it into my program myself. There are more smaller projects I will discuss later if the items below are delivered on a timely basis **_2) Graphical rendering of the users cabinet. _**I need a coder to create a sub program, or other, which takes all the users (My Customers) data, along with certain required calculated data from the program, and creates a scale drawing of the users cabinet. **_3) Sheet goods optimizer for plywood etc. _**The coder should supply me with a sub program, or other, which takes required data from the users entries, and or the programs calculations, and displays it on a scale drawing of a 4' by 8' sheet of plywood. ## Deliverables **_1) Help system:_** a) Download my .DOC files, and convert them to HTML, or other format compatible with the new help system. b) Write all necessary components required to build a help system that can be integrated, by me, into my main program. c) Help system must have an Index, Search, Contents, Etc., though contex sensitive help is not required. d) Coder must upload, or other, the files to me, and guarantee simple integration into my main program. **_2) Graphical rendering of cabinet to be built (Users cabinet) (Graphics):_** a) If required, I will up load required program files to coder for analysis, and or integration purposes. b) Coder to construct an easily integrateable, or simply add it to the program code already supplied, program which takes all data required from the main cut list program, and draws a scale drawing of the cabinet to be built. c) Drawing should be to scale, and if possible zoomable, so the user may zoom in on specific parts of the cabinet. d) Drawing should be fairly detailed, IE it should look accurate as well as presentable for the user. Drawers and doors should have a panel look. (See attached sample sketch) e) Black and white lines and back ground are OK f) Addition of dimensions to the drawing showing length, height, etc. is not a requirement, but if possible please discuss it with me. g) Program must be easily integrated into my main program. **_3) Sheet goods optimizer (Graphics): _** a) If required, I will up load required program files to coder for analysis, and or integration purposes. b) Coder to construct an easily integrateable, or simply add it to the program code already supplied, program which takes all data required from the main cut list program, and places certain pieces inside a 4' by 8' scale rectangle. c) Cabinet materials come in different thickness, so I would need the program to be set up to place 1/4" thick pieces in one 4 by 8 rectangle, 1/2 in another, 3/4" in another. I believe a program called "Cut List Plus" which can be found on the internet at <[login to view URL]> for example purposes, has a sheet goods optimizer. I would like it to be as good if not better than theirs (ha ha). See supplied drawing 4) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. We can discuss this requirement. 5) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. We can discuss this requirement 6) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site). ## Platform The program must run on all versions of Windows from Windows 3.0 to the current windows operating system Windows XP, and all Windows operating systems in between.
