ActiveX Calculator

We have a successful Veterinary Practice Management software package. One of our clients has requested that we develop a formulary system, which we are doing. Part of that formulary system is a (fairly) simple calculator. Our software is written in the ProIV rapid application development environment and we think that the best way to integrate the calculator would be as an activex control that would pop up. The calculator must have standard buttons (numbers 0-9, addition, multiplication, subtraction, division, equals, decimal and %) as well as buttons to convert the number in the display from pounds to kilograms and kilograms to pounds (rounded to 2 decimal places). The control must be able to both accept a number from and return a number to the ProIV environment. Visually, we would like the calculator to be similar in appearance and layout to the Windows XP calculator. Fully functional integration into the ProIV environment is a requirement for payment. This should not be a big issue but there are a couple details to be aware of:

1. ProIV cannot handle design time settings

2. ProIV only supports the IDispatch interface (used by VB)

Read through the ProIV documentation available at: [login to view URL] This document will outline details relevant to developing the OCX for ProIV. Just for reference, the Microsoft Common Dialog controls all work just fine in ProIV. If necessary you may also create at an account at [login to view URL] and download a single developer version, but this would likely just make the task more complex to you as ProIV is a relative obtuse progamming environment. If you send the OCX to myself I will be able to test for you. If you have experience programming in ProIV please contact me.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in OCX form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
