I need to add invoicing to an existing project. The data is in a SQL Server 2005 database and was created using C#/ASP.NET website in Visual Studio 2005.
As far as the coder is concerned, all the data that needs to be invoiced is in a single table. There is another table which contains the costs of each of the services we provide.
The primary function of this project is to create monthly invoices to send our customers. The main requirement is that the invoices that are generated are self-explanatory and comprehensible.
Additional reports and features can also be suggested to me for an additional cost
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Any suggestion for a good invoice generation will be considered but it must be dependable, easy and readable.
The database that you will be working with is on SQL Server 2005.
The software currently resides on a C#/[url removed, login to view] website. The report generation should be accessible from the website.
This is how our business infrastructure works:
We have users that use equipment on a hourly rate (prorated).
Ther are different costs based on what type of user(their affiliation) they are. Each affiliation has costs associated with each peice of equipment
Users are not billed directly, but rather their company is billed. Each company has multiple branches (billing methods), each user falls under one of these branches.
The heirarchy is as follows
Affiliation(costs)-->organization(company) --> BillingMethod(branch)--> User
I need to generate invoices for each organization, and list all their billing methods under which we have a list of users and each of the users has a list of events.
There needs to be totals for every level of these reports.
There will also be taxes in the totals(%8.25)
The generated reports should be archived in pdf/.doc format (to be determined).
I would like to be able to regenerate or overwrite certain invoices for select companies.
I would be willing to pay more to be able to generate custom reporrts for select users or equipment etc...
