We are looking for a programmer who is well versed in Amazon and Ebay API's to develop a solution for syncing quantities for all of our selling channels.
The method we use right now is very manual and we would need some automation. Basically, we download all the orders from Amazon and ebay using order reports and import them into our order management program via a formatted tab delimited txt file. Once imported, we generate quantity reports from our database that we then deploy to the marketplace channels. This obviously is not ideal since it is time consuming, can only be done a few times a day, and causes a lot of problems with back orders.
We are open to any ideas. However, the solution must update all the channels as accurately as possible with frequency.
These are possible solutions I thought of, but please give me your best idea:
-Automatically download or generate order reports from all channels
-After downloading order reports, format data in tab delimited format to import into our order management software
-After importing order, immediately deploy quantity to all channels
-Repeat process every 15 mins or half hour
Possible problems: A lot of moving parts, requires access to server 24hours
-Start with base quantity in an online database or ftp
-through API, download order information and subtract correct quantities from base quantity
-after importing quantities, deploy current quantity on hand to marketplaces
-we will update the base quantity several times a day manually after importing orders
Possible problems: not as accurate as first solution since it does not deal directly with data from our server
Order management software is developed in MS Access
Our SQL server is 2008r2
We sell on Amazon US, UK, DE, FR, ES, IT, JP, ebay, magento website
IMPORTANT: Please reply with your ideas for a solution along with your bid
