I have a site where users upload pdf documents. I wish to be able to password protect these PDF images once they have been uploaded. The PDF needs to be encrypted similar to what is available when using Adobe Acrobat Pro. So when the user tries to view the PDF is Acrobat they are asked for the password.
The site is built using PHP and MySQL and is hosted on a shared server.
The PDF files being uploaded vary in file size, document size, color profiles, etc. The PDF needs to maintain all these aspects, but simply be protected with a pre-defined password.
This script will need to be called from a PHP file once the PDF has been uploaded.
I would expect a php file with a function that is passed the path to the pdf and the response would be the path the encrypted pdf.
Please advise as part of your bid if you require any third party libraries or custom php installs.
