I have installed node.js and websocket and [url removed, login to view] onto a linux server but it's a server that is being used as LAMP platform. I want to have it remain a PHP/Apache server but also have the ability to test out node.js functionality but can't seem to get it to work. I don't fully understand how to configure the server to use different ports for different functions. I want to have someone configure the server so that I can run a sub domain that functions as node.js server while allowing the PHP functionality to exist as well. Specifically I want to have the chat example shown here installed and accessible via the web - [url removed, login to view] This should be extremely easy for anyone familiar with node.js and socket.io.
