I use mediawiki as a convenient project working tool associated to mailing lists. As a result, I have fifty+ mediawiki sites on a remote dedicated WHM and cPanel managed Linux machine installed with differet tools (softaculous), and a few others on my own windows machine.
Right noew the system is disorganized as I have a compatibility problem between MediaWiki and MySQLon my Linux server (with the Wikis MySQL backup). I want to get rid of WHM and cPanel and rationalize the whole thing along my usual approach: I build a table with all the relevant system parameters. I then write and maintain a script generator (for windows and linux systems) I download, run to install or cron,
The environment I want to restore, organize and maintain is a complete dedicated machine or VM duplicated (backup, replication, new systems) set of XAMPP systems featuring a mediawiki simple farm, extensions, mail/mailing lists server, DNS and secure/stable operational tools.
- a eingle time help (on a per hour basis)
1. to restore the current situaton: how to proceed to build a MySQLconfiguration on my windows machine. Restore there my existing wiki backups.
2. Install a XAMPP configuration on a naked Virtual Machine. Install there a MediaWiki farm structure using virtual directories with a mail server and mailing list and Bind, and minimum set of administration tools..
- an ongoing occasional support, advise help, constructive critics, tips of someone knowing the way I work. Possibly on a monthly retainer.basis.
