Overview
This project involves designing and developing a platform that enables IT job seekers, recruiters and agents to collaborate in an OPEN job market.
There are 4 areas of work:
* Designing and deploying the web user interface
* Configuring scrapers, social media connectors and feed handlers to gather and store information from other sources
* Developing text-processing engines that analyse external data (candidate profiles, CVs, job specs etc.,) and process it into #tagged, consistent data that can be aggregated for reporting and matching purposes
* Developing a social platform for collaboration and improvement of content by an active and changing user base
Phase 0 - platform
Agree plan for platform in terms of databases, storage and VMs.
Configure Amazon platform, putting in place databases, storage and VMs
Phase 1 - building dataset
Develop and deploy scrapers, XML readers, connectors etc.,
Populate databases
Phase 2a - integrating data from multiple data sources
Develop integration engines that process imported information into agreed format (tagged, flagged, ready for moderation)
Phase 2b - Create light-weight user interface
Web user interface built using PHP that enables users to enter data and interact with existing data
Phase 3 - social
Adding social media components such as ratings, discussions and user karma
