Hi: We're testing out the LiveChat client and am having trouble getting the livechat client conversion scripts installed correctly on our website. We need event tracking to capture onclick events.
For instance, when someone clicks on the livechat box, you could use: onclick="openLiveChat();[url removed, login to view](['_trackEvent','category','action'])"> for async or onclick="openLiveChat(); ga('send', 'event', 'category', 'action');" for Universal. ( believe the API has changed but you will have to figure out the results).
We want a conversion tracked when
- chat started
- after hours chat submitted
- served by agent (the labels would then be the names of your agents)
- chats by department (labels might be Tech, Marketing, Sales etc.)
- chat expanded
- chat closed & hidden
- we also want to generate a virtual page view when a livechat is initiated so that we can track how many people actually respond to the invites.
LiveChat has a script for this and we're just having diffiuclty getting all the details installed.
