I have a fully functional OSC MS2 store that is in operation. While I have done most of the existing customization, I dont have time to do this;
I would like to have the ability to create tiers of discounts that are automatically applied at checkout due to either a certain dollar value purchases within a certain period, perhaps a month to a year OR by manual selection in the administration panel.
A new customer defaults to no automatic discount. A customer that has bought $x within X period would receive an automatic 5% discount. I would then be able to change $ value, period or percentage manually as required. These tiers would have names for them, perhaps silver, gold, titanium, platinum, etc. the total customer purchase is in the database....
Discounts are not visible until checkout, where I would like to see a field added in totals for the tier level, say silver discount: 5% with the total adjusted accordingly. I may want to add an indicator of the customers tier level on their active page when they are logged in.
There may be an existing contribution that does most of this on OSCforums. Some custom code may need to be written. Suggestions of any kind would be appreciated before implementation commences.
