I need a competent individual or a small company to handle the follow tasks on a permanent basis:
Server administration + security
You will be administering a dedicated server running four domains. Your responsibilities, among other things, are backups of all data on all domains and making sure the server is as safe as possible from evilminded hackers.
Script installation
You will have the abilitiy to install and repair the installation of scripts of any kind.
PHP programming
You will have the ability to do custom programming in PHP if needed, both adding to the functionality of the scripts running on the domains and creating minor scripts from scratch.
Language
Your command of the English language must be excellent.
Initiative
It is expected that you show initiative, suggesting improvements, changes and whatnot in any situation where you think something might be done more effectively if apprached a little differently.
Other matters
It is generally expected that you are available during normal working hours on normal working days, and that you complete tasks on time.
Your bid
This is not a big job and not much time will generally be spent on it. It is therefore expected that your bid include only a flat biweekly or monthly fee for the server administration. (Please note which it is in your bid.) Your bid should not include payment for the occasional script setup, programming, and whatever else, as these matters will be paid separately on a case by case basis.
Lastly
You will be administering a fledgeling project that has a more than average chance of growing into something much bigger within the next 12 months or so.
