The purpose of this project is to build a XUL Firefox plugin to be able to create screen-shots of flash webbpages and store them automatically.
The plugin should be able to, using macros/scripts (e.g. similar to the program "Auto Macro Recorder"), on scheduled times go through flash newspapers take screenshots and save the images in a new folder. The features should be:
? Create "jobs" and manage them (list, select edit & delete)
? Run Jobs on a schedule (select which jobs are to run when)
? Keep & display a log of run jobs. Display alert when a job gives an error message
? Automatic naming based on date
? One click optimization (e.g. remove unnecessary mouse moves)
More info in the detailed description.
## Deliverables
The purpose of this project is to build a XUL Firefox plugin to be able to create screen-shots of flash webbpages and save them automatically.
Each job is a line for line script and could look like this:
1. Open URL
2. Create a new directory with URL name + todays date
3. Zoom(The text have to be readable) and Save page as image
4. scroll page, save image, repeat until the whole page have been saved.
5. Check for next image button and click if available
6. If next save page as image and back to step 3
7. If end quit job - report success + download count or failure with error message
Two example sites that the plugin should be should be able to grab are:
And
Look at the ScriptExamples file for information on what it could look like. Note that the scripts don't fully work.
Good luck bidding!

Peter
