Event Calendar with Meet up Option

Develop a web2.0 event calendar (based on webcalendar, phpicalendar, or selfdeveloped). With a fresh AJAX interface, full internationalization support (has to be translatable easily) (e.g. seperate language file).

Week View, Month View, Year View (normal calendar functions), submit an event, rss feed, tagging support, import options, admin functionality.

The biggest difference to a normal calendar on the web will be the option to create "meetups" or going to an event together. Use Case is:

User a wants to go to a concert on 19th May and has noone that will come with him, he can post a request for a meetup and people interested in also going there can join him.

The calendar should support user pages (information about the user, a picture, contact details), user messaging.

Please provide your own Mysql/php5 or ruby on rails testbed/server for displaying functionality.

Please provide access to prior work samples.

The Project includes Design work, so please do provide samples of website design you have previously done.

Please provide an estimate on how long you will need to accomplish the project.

The Project should support google adsense and google analytics.

The work will be done in agreed milestones, e.g. weekly progress reports and weekly proof of concepts. Payment will be according to milestones.

PHP5/Mysql preferred, Ruby on rails is an option.
